Wow where is the time going…..I cannot believe it is already April and I have so much still I would like to do to the cattery and improve it for our lovely guests.
So I have some exciting news…..I shall be extending the cattery (only slightly) with some brand new chalets of which look divine. I have such a huge scrap book collected of ideas/pictures/text/cats etc as they all look so good. I cannot wait for our pussycats to test them out. It will be Summer time they will available for our feline guests.
I am just starting on a brand new Cattery website and adding some exciting new features with Gold Nugget Designs being the company behind the scenes working their magic. I cannot wait for this be unveiled hopefully not long!!
Spring is here too so I am also working on improving the gardens and flower arrangement – from the amount of flowers I have I think I will be given Chelsea Flower Show a run for their money :). I do love flowers though such beautiful simple colourful beings.
I am also adding some new toys and equipment into our existing Silverhill Suites, I now have a short-list of what I believe will be loved by the cats that stay their and some of these toys and equipments are just fantastic!!
If you have not already booked your cat into their cattery I would advise you do this now. We are already full for April and I have very little availability for August left. Our outside chalets are fully booked for June and August. So make that call. I would also maybe have a back-plan, pet sitter or another Cattery in place just to be on safe side.
Please remember NO chocolate for your cats or dogs for that matter, they are poisonous and if eaten they must be seen by vet immediately. To be on the safe side I would store all Easter eggs in a cupboard away from prying cats!
Have a great Easter and be safe.
Take Care of you and your pets!
The daffodils are out in full force around the cattery and it so lovely to see the bright colour yellow shining on us.
The weather is warmer and days are lighter and I just love this time of year.
We are preparing for our next huge influx of pussycats over the Easter period and have been scrubbing…..and I mean scrubbing the chalets getting them all squeaky clean and looking lovely for the guests due.
We have got a few long term cats in – ranging from a large tabby cat, a gentle giant and the energetic Bengal Kitten who eats like a horse! They are both such a breathe of fresh air and it is so lovely to see their faces day in day our!
We have a lot of newcomers to the cattery including our gentle but shy Bax, our lovely Brit Blue Luna, Pickles and Gonzo to name a few.
We are full for August now and April is not too far off from being full too so we have a very busy few months ahead, prepping and organising.
Thank you for taken the time to read the blog.
From all at Silverhill Cattery.
February is here and the cold is still here too….at this time of yet I always look forward to Spring!
We are on close weather watch and bring in our hooded beds alongside our heated beds which are on in full swing. For our elderly guests and young guests a covered hot water bottle is also given to them overnight. Just to ensure our guests are as comfortable as possible.
We have had some of our long-term guests leave and it is always sad to see them go. But on a plus they are booked in again for later on in the year which is lovely as it is so nice to be reunited once more!
As ever we are always looking to improve our services for our guests – we are have a few ideas I want to explore but I need to carry out more research…..so watch this space.
It also a very BIG year for us as we have been open 10 years in June. So I am looking at little things I can do to celebrate this, I cannot believe it has been 10 years and such a special 10 years too.
I hope you are keeping warm and your pets are too.
From all at Silverhill Cattery.
